Brussels Workshop
After four successful years, the CLIMAAX project is approaching its conclusion, with 67 regions across Europe completing their CLIMAAX journey. The CLIMAAX Final Workshop, taking place on 19-20 January 2027 in Brussels, will bring together regional representatives, project partners, and key stakeholders to celebrate the project’s achievements, share lessons learned, and look ahead to new opportunities for advancing climate adaptation.
This two-day event will showcase the outcomes, experiences, and lessons learned from regional climate risk assessment and adaptation planning efforts carried out throughout the project. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge, discover inspiring regional success stories, and explore how CLIMAAX has contributed to strengthening climate resilience across Europe.
The workshop will be opened by the EU Mission on Adaptation and will feature presentations from selected regions and consortium partners, highlighting the project’s impacts, innovative approaches, and lessons learned reflecting on the assessed regional key-climate risks and steps towards climate risk management.
Looking ahead, the second day will provide practical guidance on adaptation funding opportunities and introduce follow-up European initiatives, including ClimaaxNext, helping regions continue their adaptation journey beyond the project.
