Barcelona Workshop
The second CLIMAAX Workshop was held at the CosmoCaixa – Science Museum in Barcelona, Spain, on 10–11 June 2025. Representatives from all 68 regions and municipalities selected by CLIMAAX gathered for the event, which brought together implementing institutions, pilot site representatives, and project developers to exchange knowledge, discuss challenges, and showcase success stories from the early implementations of the CLIMAAX Handbook.
The program featured Q&A sessions, roundtable discussions, and poster exhibitions, fostering collaboration and deeper insights into climate risk assessment. The workshop opened with contributions from key policymakers and included interactive sessions aimed at refining the framework. It marked a key milestone in strengthening the project’s Community of Practice, as participants jointly addressed the challenges of applying the CLIMAAX Handbook in real-world scenarios.
The workshop was followed by the project’s General Assembly, a working day dedicated to project partners, held on 12 June at the Civil Protection of Catalonia facilities.
