As part of the CLIMAAX_AT project, run by the Alto Tâmega and Barroso Intermunicipal Community, it is worth highlighting the ongoing development of Phase 2 of the project, which is expected to yield more refined results, incorporating data from other regional and national bodies.
The project presentation session to the various national stakeholders contributed significantly to this. During this session, the project and its respective development phases were presented, along with the CLIMAAX methodology and the results of Phase 1 – Initial risk assessment, including the identification of key vulnerabilities, the selected risks, as well as the preliminary results obtained and the lessons learnt at this stage. The main challenges to be addressed in the next phase were also highlighted.

This meeting helped to clarify the role of stakeholders in the co-creation process and to publicise the project’s monitoring mechanisms, notably through the distribution of a newsletter and a participation survey.
During this session, phase 2 of the project was presented, which allowed for the deepening and refinement of the risk analyses carried out, promoting collaborative work with partners and local stakeholders to strengthen the capacity of the Alto Tâmega and Barroso region to adapt to climate change.
In light of these developments, phase 2 of the CLIMAAX_AT project is now in its final stages, with the Alto Tâmega and Barroso Intermunicipal Community expected to meet the specified deadlines. Preparations for the implementation of phase 3 of the project are also currently underway.
