The CLIMAAX project will take part in the Final NEVERMORE Final Event on 6 May 2026, contributing to a panel discussion on scaling climate adaptation solutions across Europe.
The event will run from 09:00 to 15:30 (CET) at Vetenskapens hus in Luleå (Sweden) and online, bringing together policymakers, researchers, and practitioners to reflect on key results and future pathways for climate adaptation and mitigation. The programme includes sessions on data and modelling, adaptation and mitigation policies, the NEVERMORE ICT Toolkit, stakeholder engagement, and case study insights.
CLIMAAX will be represented by Jaroslav Mysiak in the panel discussion: “From Risk Assessment to Regional Practice: Scaling Climate Adaptation Solutions Across Europe”. The session will bring together several Horizon Europe and EU Mission projects—including KNOWING, DISTENDER, Pathways2Resilience, RESIST, and MountResilience—to explore how climate risk assessment can be translated into practical, scalable adaptation strategies across regions.

CLIMAAX will contribute by addressing where successful scaling begins, highlighting the role of robust, context-sensitive risk assessment and decision-support tools in enabling regional implementation. The panel will also explore broader issues relevant to the European adaptation landscape, including the transferability of solutions, the barriers that prevent scaling beyond pilot phases, and the conditions required to ensure long-term impact. Particular attention will be given to governance, funding, institutional capacity, and the role of evidence in supporting timely decision-making under uncertainty.
The NEVERMORE Final Event offers an opportunity to connect project results with policy and practice, fostering dialogue on how to strengthen the long-term impact and scalability of climate adaptation efforts in Europe.
