SUMMARY:Community of Practice | Advancing Risk Analysis through Key Risk Assessment
DESCRIPTION:After the summer break, the CLIMAAX Community of Practice ( https://www.climaax.eu/community-of-practice/ ) returned with a new webinar series! In autumn, the sessions focused on supporting the practical implementation of the CLIMAAX Framework and Toolbox ( https://www.climaax.eu/handbook/ ), starting with the updated Step 4: Key Risk Assessment. This step guided users in both interpreting and prioritising the results of climate risk assessment workflows.\nParticipants were introduced to the concepts of severity, urgency, and adaptive capacity, and to the Risk Evaluation Dashboard. A real-world example from Riga, Latvia demonstrated how the approach was applied in practice, and a hands-on group exercise provided the opportunity to explore the Dashboard in action.\nAs a pivotal element of the Framework, Step 4 bridged the gap between risk analysis and decision-making. It was particularly relevant for regions that were finalising their assessments and set the stage for the upcoming hazard-specific webinars, covering topics such as floods and heatwaves.\nAGENDA PRESENTATION SLIDES\n\n
