DESCRIPTION:On Monday 11th March 2024, representatives from CLIMAAX will be in Venice to join the Climateurope2 Festival ( https://climateurope2.eu/news-events/events/events/climateurope2-festival-1 ). Anna Pirani (CMCC) will moderate a plenary session (14:00-15:30) focused on how climate services support the EU Mission on Climate Change Adaptation, contributing to the efforts of EU regions, cities, and local authorities in increasing resilience against climate change impacts.\nThe session features speakers involved in climate change adaptation at various scales of action, including Michaela Bachmann (IIASA) and Milana Vučković (ECMWF) who will give a keynote entitled “Enhancing climate risk assessment with specialized framework ( https://www.climaax.eu/handbook/framework/ ) and toolbox ( https://www.climaax.eu/handbook/toolbox/ )” while Cristina Coelho (Setúbal Municipality) will report about piloting regional climate risk assessment.
